Introduction to 8th Assembly

We have now entered the last year of the project and we have another opportunity to meet face-to-
face. This is the last time we are going to meet in this format; so, we have to make the most of it both
as collaboratories and as colleagues celebrating that we have successfully walked a long and arduous
way together. In this last year, we are going to concentrate on evidencing our core aim to demonstrate
how a systems and capacity building approach established through the Collaboratories can help
address water securities challenges in a locally meaningful way. We will also try to identify
worthwhile activities that will help us to achieve further integration and impact in the remaining time.
The focus in the 8th Assembly will be on agreeing our final plan of action, taking stock of our
achievements and how we communicate them. We are also going to have a deep dive on the work
of the Indian Collaboratory through stakeholder panels, presentations on Barapullah research, and a
whole-day visit to the site. We will hear about the book from our ECN, one of the key integrative
outputs of the project. We are going to have joint workshops on Hub Outcomes and Integrated
Research Impact, including a research impact and innovation showcase. Some of our ECRs have been
working with the research teams to prepare several cross-cutting research presentations which reflect
the integrative spirit of the Hub. At the end, we will identify collaboratory priorities and discuss the
Hub’s legacy with reflections from our IAB and UKRI.

Finally, time to celebrate with our Finale Dinner and a trip to Agra with most of the team the next day.

The 8th Assembly has the following focusses:

To identify and shape communication on Outcomes and Impact;

To learn about the work of the Indian Collaboratory;
To update on the ECN book;
To reflect on cross-cutting research themes;
To discuss the final work programme and the Hub legacy;
To celebrate our achievements and enjoy being together.
