French colors are not as easy to learn as one might think. It’s important to know
the different meanings behind the word, and that there is more than one word for
some colors.

Knowing the French words for colors is not just about memorizing vocabulary, it’s
about understanding how and why they are used in different contexts.

The first thing to remember is that there are more than one word for some colors in
French. For example, “orange” can also be translated as “oranger,” or “orangé.”
Additionally, a color can be described with a number of different words depending
on the context of what you’re talking about. For example, the color black can be
translated as “noir,” or “noire.”
