What is MH CET Law exam?

MH CET Law or Maharashtra Common Entrance T est for Law is a state-level exam conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra for admissions to law
courses offered at participating law colleges in Maharashtra. T hrough the entrance exam, law aspirants are shortlisted for admissions to 10,920 seats for

T he State Common Entrance T est (CET ), Maharashtra has released the application form of MH CET law 2022 for the 5-year LLB program, and the 3-year
LLB program. MHCET Law 2022 application in an online process. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may duly fill out the form and
submit it before the last date. When filling out the form, only correct and verifiable information must be used, as all details will be verified at the time of the
document verification process. Any candidate who is found to be falsifying data will be disqualified.
How to apply f or MH CET law 2022?
1. Online reg istration - T he candidate has to get registered and create an applicant account. T o get registered, the candidate will have to enter his name,
email id, and mobile number. T he candidate will also have to select and confirm a password.
2. Fill the f orm - In this step, fill in your personal, academic, and contact details.
3. Upload sig nature and password - T he documents uploaded must be as per the prescribed specification.
4 . Pay the application f ee - T he application fee of INR 800 (INR 600 for OMS and reserved category candidates) has to be paid in online mode.
MH CET Law 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Here is the MHCET Law Elig ibility Criteria f or 5-year LLB:
Candidates seeking admissions to five-year integrated LLB courses through MH CET Law need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Candidates must be Indian citizens
T hey should have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination/ Intermediate Examination/ 12th Board Examination from any recognised educational
institution under the state board or national board of education.
Moreover, they must have secured 4 5% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
If belonging to SC/ ST category of Maharashtra state, then the minimum marks required are 4 0% as per relaxation in aggregate marks.
As per the age limit criteria, candidates should be at least 20 years old at the time of admission. However, in case of candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST
categories of Maharashtra state, the age limit is 22 years minimum at the time of admission.

MH CET Law Cutoff 2022

T he Maharashtra State CET Cell will release the cut-off for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated courses offered by participating law colleges.
Candidates who meet the cutoff rank (or score) will be eligible for admission, while the rest will be disqualified.
Note that the cutoff is the minimum marks (or rank) one needs to secure in one's category for admission.
To prepare MH CET law 2022 cutoff, the following points will be considered

MH CET Law Counselling 2022

T he counseling process of MH CET law is known as the Centralized Admission Process (or CAP). T he counseling is currently being conducted in online
mode separately for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. For the 3-year LLB program, there are 14 7 participating institutes, with the seat intake
standing at 16, 4 20. T he 5-year LLB program has an intake of 10, 920 seats at 132 approved colleges.
The MHCET law 2022 counselling process is explained in brief below:
1. Reg istration - Eligible candidates need to register for counselling online, enter their choice of colleges and pay the counselling fee.
2. Document verif ication - T he admission committee will e-verify uploaded documents and the information entered by the candidate at the time of filling
the application form. Only such candidates who successfully complete the verification process will be considered for the next step.
3. Publication of Alphabetical Merit List - T he merit list will include the names of candidates shortlisted for the counselling and seat allotment process.
4 . Submission of g rievances - Any candidates who have any objection against the merit list are allowed to challenge it.
5. Publication of Final Merit List - T he final list will be published after making any corrections to the provisional list after considering objections by
candidates.
6. Allotment of seats - Finally, seats will be allocated by considering 1) the MH CET law 2021 merit rank of the candidate, and 2) College options picked at the
time of counselling registration.
Note that there will be two rounds of CAP. If there are any seats that lie vacant after CAP allotment rounds, then such seats will be filled at an institutional
level by respective law colleges.

Candidates appearing for the law entrance exam should report their allotted test centre at least an hour before the scheduled exam timings.
T hey should carry MHCET Law 2021 admit card (one extra copy) along with one valid photo ID proof such as Voter ID card, Driving License, Aadhaar
Card or Enrollment Number, School ID/ College ID proof etc.
Candidates should also carry two ballpoint pens either in blue colour or black colour as required to mark their answers on the OMR answer sheet.

MH CET Law Syllabus 2022 - T he State Common Entrance T est (CET ) Cell releases the syllabus for the MH CET law 2022 exam. It will contain the
subject-wise topics that candidates need to follow to prepare for 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. In addition, it will also have the subject-wise weightage,
which will tell the candidate which topics to focus on more. T he MH CET law 2022 syllabus for the 5-year LLB will be of intermediate level, whereas the

When will the MHCET law 2021 cutof f be released?
T he Round I institute-wise cutoff has been released for the 5-year LLB program of December 22, 2021. T he cutoff for the 3-year LLB will be released
after December 30, which is after seat allotment has been announced.
What are the various f actors that are considered f or determining the MH CET law cutof f ?
T o determine the cutoff, the admission committee will consider factors like 1) total seat intake 2) number of applicants 3) T he MH CET law 2021 merit
rank of these applicants, and 4 ) the category under which admission is sought.
Will I g et admission even if I miss the MH CET law 2021 cutof f ?
If a candidate fails to meet the cutoff, he or she will not be considered for admission.
How many seats are of f ered f or the 3-year and 5-year LLB prog ram throug h MH CET law 2021 entrance exam?
T he intake capacity for the 3-year LLB program is 16, 4 20 seats, while for the 5-year LLB program there are 10, 920 seats.
How many colleg es participate in MH CET law counselling ?
T here are 132 approved colleges for the 5-year integrated law program, while for the 3-year LLB program the number of approved colleges participating
in the counselling process is 14 7.
Counselling
MH CET Law Counselling 2021 (3-year LLB) - T he CET Cell, Maharashtra has released the merit list for the institute-level round on Feb 14 , 2021. T he
merit list has been released institute-wise and contains details like the name of the candidate, merit rank, application number, candidature type, category,
and Home University. Candidates who are included in the merit lists need to get admission to the assigned colleges between Feb 15-18, 2022. T he seat
allotment for CAP Round II was earlier announced on Jan 31; allotment for CAP Round I was released on Dec 31, 2021. T he Cell had earlier released the
final merit for CAP Round II on Jan 25. Candidates who are included in the final merit list only are considered for seat allotment. T he alphabetical merit list
for CAP round II was released on Jan 19.
Allotments are available as 1) individual candidate allotment and 2) institute-wise allotment. Seat allotment is made on the basis of 1) MH CET law
2021 merit rank, and 2) options selected during the option-entry process.
MH CET Law Counselling 2021 (5-year LLB) - T he merit list for the institute-level round was released on Feb 3, 2022. Candidates need to report to
colleges for admission under institute level round between Feb 4 -9. Participating law colleges will release the list of admitted candidates through login. T he
list of vacant seats after CAP round II will also be released. T hese vacant seats will be filled through institution-level counselling. T he CET Cell, Maharashtra
released the CAP Round II seat allotment results for the CAP Round II on Jan 18. T he final merit list was released on Jan 14 . T he revised MH CET law 2021
seat allotment (Round I) results for Round I was announced on December 21, 2021 (the original allotment of December 20 was cancelled).
MH CET law 2021 counselling, or CAP, is conducted online. T he Centralized Admission Process (CAP) has two rounds, but if there are any vacant seats left,
institution-level counselling will be held.

Candidates need to register online on the official website of DHE Maharastra as under:

2. Register as a new candidate by filling the required details for MH CET Law counselling process
3. Once registered, log in again to fill the choice of colleges from the given list as per your preference and pay the counselling fee Rs 5000

What is Option Entry Process?

During the counselling process, candidates before accepting their seats have the option to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ their choices.
Float option - If candidates are not satisf ied with the allotted colleg es, they can choose the ‘Float’ option. Candidates exercising this option are
eligible for appearing in the subsequent counselling rounds. In case they are not offered seats, they can choose the previously allotted college.
Freeze option - Candidates can exercise ‘Freeze’ option to conf irm their allotment and if they do not want to participate in the further counselling
rounds. T hey will accept the allotted college and pay the admission fee. Such candidates will not be considered for further counselling rounds.

Q. Can I reg ister f or MH CET law 2021 counselling now?
A. T he counselling registration for 5-year LLB for CAP Round 2 was open from Dec 29 to January 2, 2022. Meanwhile, registrations for 3-year LLB (CAP
Round 2) was conducted from Jan 8-18. Apart from fresh registrations, candidates will also be able to edit submitted applications, and upload documents.
Q. When will the MH CET Law 2021 seat allotment f or 3-year LLB be announced?
A: MH CET law 2021 seat allotment for 3-year LLB - Round II will be announced on January 31, 2021. Seat allotment results for Round I was released on
December 31, 2021.
Q. When will the MH CET Law 2021 f inal merit list be released f or 3-year LLB?
A: T he final merit list has been released on December 29, 2021; a revised merit list for MS candidates was released on Dec 30, 2021.
Q. In what mode will the MH CET law 2021 counselling be conducted?
A: T he counselling is being conducted in online mode and is known as the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
Q. When will seat allotment results be announced f or 5-year LLB?
A: T he seat allotment results for CAP Round II was announced on January 18. Seat allotment results for CAP round I was released on December 21 (the
original allotment of December 20 was cancelled).
Q. What is the process of the MH CET law 2021 seat allotment?
A: MH CET law 2021 counselling or CAP will have two seat-allotment rounds. Candidates who are included in the final merit list will only be considered for
seat allotment. Also, allotment will be made basis: 1) merit rank and 2) college options picked at the time of counselling registration.

A: T he centralized counselling (CAP) will have two seat-allotment rounds. If there are any vacant seats left after CAP, such seats will be filled at institution

MHCET Law 2021 result - T he State CET Cell, Maharashtra has declared the results of MH CET law 2021 for the 5-year LLB programme on October 28
and for the 3-year programme on October 29, 2021. T he results have been released in the form of consolidated merit lists which contain the names of
all candidates who appeared in the MH CET law 2021 exam, registration number, and their normalised MH CET 2021 scores. T he CET Cell has also
released individual scorecards that contain the ranks, sectional and overall marks.
T he state-level law entrance exam, MH CET law 2021 for 5-year LLB is topped by Yash Choudhary, who secured 139 marks out of 150 marks. T he 2nd
and 3rd positions were held by Samarthya Kumar (137 marks) and Dhananjay Shukla (135 marks). Meanwhile, Om Prakash T iwary, Nipun Krishnaraj
Kuzhikattil, and Ajay Dogra topped the 3-year LLB exam securing identical scores (132 marks).
T he MH CET law 2021 counselling schedule has been announced. T he registration for 5-year LLB 2021 will start on November 22, 2021, while registration
for 3-year LLB will be conducted from November 29, 2021.
