El orden del presente continuo en conjuncion con el verbo ser o estar.

[am/is/are + present participle]
Examples:
You are watching TV.
Are you watching TV?
You are not watching TV.

USE 1 Now

El presente continuo se combina conel verbo ser o estarsin conjugar para

expresar que algo esta sucediendo en este momento.
Examples:
You are learning English now.
You are not swimming now.
Are you sleeping?
I am sitting.
I am not standing.
Is he sitting or standing?
They are reading their books.

USE 2 Longer Actions in Progress Now

En ingles el presente continuo puede expresar una acción que está en

progreso de ser terminada aunque dicha acción no se esté realizando en
ese preciso momento.

USE 3 Near Future

En ocasiones, el presente continuo se utiliza para expresar o negar acciones

que sucederan en un future cercano.

Examples:
I am meeting some friends after work.(vere unos amigos despues del
trabajo)
I am not going to the party tonight.(no ire a la fiesta de hoy en la noche)
Is he visiting his parents next weekend?(visitara a sus papas el siguiente
fin de semana?)
Isn't he coming with us tonight? (no va a venir con nosotros hoy en la
noche?)
