PROBLEM STATEMENT

Drinking enough water is vital in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and the school is in a unique

position to promote such healthy behavior. Students often spend a minimum of six hours in

school thus it is really important for them to drink enough water at school for them to always

stay hydrated. However, a large number of students opted to buy plastic water bottle instead of

bringing their own water jugs. Having the option to buy outside, the students may choose to buy

sweetened beverages instead of actually buying water. In fact, according to Penn State

researchers, not drinking water may boost the consumption of sugary beverages which can

greatly harm the health of the students. Furthermore, this significantly increases the usage of

single-used plastic in school which contributes to the worsening waste and recycling crisis.

Moreover, some students who buy bottled water outside may choose to buy only one water

bottle. Thus, with no available free refilling stations, it is very likely that it may lead to the

students being dehydrated for drinking either a 350 ml or 500 ml of water is clearly not enough

for their bodies.

In terms of health Conditions, Dehydrated body can can affect the physical and emotional

performance of the students causes them to be inactive in class. However, Prevention of

Dehydration by drinking enough water can help maximize physical performance, Significantly

affects energy levels and brain function. Since brain is mostly water, drinking it helps a person to

think, focus and concentrate better. In addition Dehydration can cause your body to overheat,

drinking water can normalize blood pressure and Prevent hyperventilation. Having enough water

In the body Flushes Out Toxins and Get rid of waste through sweat and urination which reduces

the risk of kidney stones and Urinary tract infections (UTI).

This project do not only focus on the main idea which is to solve the dilemma of students when it

comes to Acquiring drinking water and to eliminate excessive usage of plastic bottles due to

inevitable buying of bottled mineral water but As well as the health condition of the students of
