by trade factor for both the Nations. The withdrawal of USSR from Afghanistan after more than
eight years intervened and this situation also influenced the relation between India and the US.
After the terrorist attack in the US on 2001 by Al-Qaeda, the US sees it's relation with India as
long-term stability in Asia and it is more helpful to fight against terrorism. On October 10, 2008,
India and US became to have the bilateral Nuclear deal as they signed 123 agreements. It seeks
to ensure that China does not single-handedly dominate the Asia-Pacific region and also in this
process will aslo be benefited, further from the largest market of India for Trade sector. Different
Prime Ministers of India have taken steps to strengthen the ties between the two nations. India-
US bilateral relation has developed into a 'global strategic partnership' based on shared
democratic values.
