The population now is 10 times higher than that of 1950 and both the residential and business area
has been expanded to the other side of the river. There is now a dam near the enlarged airport to
the southwest and the central portion of the river has been converted into a lake. Additional
facilities and infrastructure have been constructed on the opposite side of the original city,
including an intersection, a government building and a new bridge.
