Online Classes S.Y 2020-2021

All facets of society, including the student sector, have been
impacted by growing fears about the COVID-19 pandemic. In
response to this pandemic, educational institutions have moved to
virtual and online classes. This change in the educational mode
has raised several questions that the administration has yet to
address. What about students who don't have a secure internet
connection at home? Uncontrolled variables such as the desire of
students to achieve the given output could place them in a
dangerously compromising position, even with the grace period
imposed for the submission of academic output. Is it possible to
teach classes at home that need laboratory and practical courses?
The quality of online education is a critical issue which requires
proper attention (Sahu, 2020). The purpose of this paper is to
know the effects of online class S.Y 2020- 2021. This position
paper covers how online class started, the effects of it, and the
consolidated general concerns. The Internet can be extremely
valuable for education, but online instruction is not appropriate for
all classes in all situations; its implementation needs to be based
on the instructor's learning objective, the need for technology, and
the availability of resources.
The implementation. Many educational institutions have
suspended their academic activities and classes because of the
COVID-19 danger. All the non-teaching staff had to stop working,
and the President of the Philippinesadvised them to remain at
home. COVID-19 is a disease that can quickly infect the immune
system, causing people who are infected to experience greater
damage. Much like the Philippines and the United States of
America, many countries have declared a national emergency. De
Guzman and Pastor conclude that COVID-19 does not have a
positive effect on the environment, in particular on academic
institutions such as Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). According
to them in designing such an analytical learning environment that
will better meet the needs of today's generation of students,
teachers should be inventive. McHaney, Reiter, and Reychay
affirm that online simulation-based simulation can provide a
stronger simulation experience when coupled with good
pedagogical methods, relevant technology and educational
technology, and the participation of experts. Simulations may be
such a motivational tool for classroom learning. Bekmurat states
that even a little boy has already been fitted with a laptop or mobile
phone because computer technology and the Internet are both
boundless. It's no surprise that new innovations have been partof
the cycle of teaching and learning. Successful online training relies
on learning experiences that are well planned and facilitated by
educators with expertise. Sincelearners have various styles of
learning or a mixture of styles, online educators should develop
activities that involve multiple learning modes. Models of teaching
can alsobe adapted to modern contexts of learning. Traditionally,
teachers monitor the atmosphere in a teacher-centered classroom,
so they control how knowledge is dispersed and exchanged. It is
becoming more interactive, contextual and involved to
learn.Educators must define their goals, plan their curriculum, and
then consider how the educational goals/activities of that
curriculum are fulfilled by the online environment.
The effects and consolidated general concerns. Online
schooling offers virtual classes that a student takes alone or with a
group at home, either through a voice call or through apps such as
Messenger, Google Zoom or Skype, with a video call. Online
learning needs sufficient facilities, such as a mobile that can
accommodate calls or videos, and a secure internet connection.
Only a fraction of public schools, however, have access to the
internet, so they will not be able to meet the requirement of a
stable connection. According to DepEd’s ICT Service Director Aida
Yuvienco in a recent interview with “GovInsider,” “Only 26 percent
of public schools are connected to the internet or are able to
connect to the internet”, and she added that nearly 5,000 public
schools in remote areas do not even have access to electricity.
Also, not all families have the money to get the requisite
equipment for online learning because of poverty in the
Philippines. These families are simply unable to adapt to the online
schooling standards and would otherwise be left behind or forced
to find alternative schooling methods for their children. Even
though the teachers and the faculty are instructed to adapt,
Creatively and leniently on the modules and modules with care
and versatility It is still nonsensical to deny that the internet,
tablets, and mobile devices are necessary to access, achieve, and
send to thefaculty the academic dues expected by students. And
reflected on the figures of the sample size studied, most are
incapable of limiting access to technology and the internet.
Students do not complain because they are lazy to do the
accomplishments expected from them. We are certain that
theymost certainly will comply if only the necessities are personally
available.
Availability of the resources. As a consequence, educators are
unexpectedly presented with the question of how to continue the
education of their students. Although this may seem a daunting
task, there are many ways in which teachers can use the already
available technologies and tools to promote online learning and
ensure that students still receive a quality education. It’s important
to note that there is no one size fits all when it comes to learning.
Different groups have different priorities and the resources that
should be used are context-dependent. Teachers should however,
take some comfort in the fact that there are hundreds of tools
available to instruct them on how to teach online. To help ease the
transition from the classroom to the internet, we have rounded up
some of the best here.
“The students will not learn anything … Now, we cannot say that
their learning will be an advantage when they move on to the next
grade level. It’s very different from actual classes,” Marian said. In
conclusion, Online Class is not that helpful to the students
because they are more stress, pressured and problematic in this
kind of situation specially when it comes to the internet connection,
gadgets that they will use in online class and also the financial
problem.

Art Festival
Art festival is a school activity that we celebrate every
year. It is very important that we exert effort on preparing
for this because we know that it will not just give fun and
enjoyment to our fellowstudents but it will also provide
them opportunity to learn more, to socialize with others
and to further develop their creativity and other skills. The
issue that we are facing is that we the student council
proposed a plan but the administration is reluctant to
agree to this plan because it involves taking two days off
of the students normal classes. As one of the organizers,
the following are the arguments regarding the issue.
The two days off that we want to take is very justifiable
because to plan such an event we really need to take our
time to come up with some exciting yet knowledgeabke
activities for our fellowstudents to enjoy.
The students deserve to have this kind of activities for
them to have some fun outside the classroom and yet still
learning at the same time. We really.
We really hope that will consider and grant us the time
that we need to prepare in this event because we as a
student council want to provide an exquisite event for
fellow students and we all just want the best for everyone.
