Clarification on Group-I Mains Syllabus for Paper-I (General Essay),
Notification No. 28/2022, Dt: 30-09-2022

It is hereby informed that the Commission has issued the Notification

No: 28/2022, Dt: 30-09-2022 for the recruitment to the posts of Group-I
Services. The Syllabus content for Main examination for Paper-I (General
Essay), comprising of 07 topics has been notified. In this connection, it is
hereby clarified that these seven topics are divided into 3 sections, as
hereunder.

(iii) Socio - Economic issues
(iv)Socio - Environmental issues
(v) Cultural and Historical aspects
(vi) Issues related to civic awareness
(vii) Reflective topics

The candidates are required to attempt three essays, one from each of
the three sections, in about 800 words each, for 50 marks each. The duration
of examination is 3 hours (180 minutes).
