1966 He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Tehran

1980 master's degree from Pratt University, New York City

Shiva was borend in 1940 in Hamedan Iran (81 years old)

• During several decades of artistic activity, by creating original works,

he was able to achieve a type of graphic with Iranian characteristics
and introduce it to the world, due to this characteristic, some of his
works have been placed in various museums of the world and
international collectors.
One of his side activities is the establishment of the graphics department in
Iran Radio and Television in 1968,

the launch of the graphics department of Soroush Publications in 1971

He is one of the founders of the Graphic Designers Association of Iran, the

founder and planner of the first Tehran poster biennial.

Among his other activities is teaching graphic art in Tehran's prestigious

colleges from 1976 until now.
He is a member of the Society of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI)
and is presently busy directing his own institution, offering artistic
management and advisory services, as well as designing environmental
projects and exhibition areas. The referenced book comprises a selection
of posters he has created in different decades.

Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI) is a club of the world's

leading graphic artists and designers. There are 527 members from 43
countries. Its members have been collectively responsible for the identity
design of most of the world's top corporations and institutions as well as
for countless examples of globally known packaging, publications,
illustration and posters. Bernard Baissait is the only member who left the
AGI following disagreement.
The International Association of Graphic Designers (AGI) ( introduced him as
one of the top 12 graphic designers in the world, and he is currently working in
his own company in management, art consulting, as well as graphic design in
various fields, environmental and exhibition design.

• Winner of various competitions in poster design for art festivals in Iran - 1974
• The winner of the logo design competition for the Tehran Graphic Artists Syndicate –
1975
• Medal and diploma for poster design from Brno International Graphic Biennale in
Czechoslovakia - 1978
• First prize in the environmental design competition - New York - 1979
• The first winner in the logo design competition for the art section of the Winter
Olympics in New York - 1989 and also entered in the book "who S who in Graphic
World", the second issue - the year of publication 1982 and the third issue 1994 -
Switzerland
• Selected logo design for the Iranian Graphic Designers Association - 1980
• Selected poster for holding the 7th Biennial of Iran Graphics - 1981
• Diploma of honor for the Palestinian poster in the first biennial international poster of
the Islamic world - 2002
