maintenance, and housekeeping duties and material preservation activities under the
supervision of the Driller. Assist other personel as directed.

Responsibilities (ROUGHNECK)
 Complying and working with daily instructions and sequence of procedure of
operations given by DSV/Rig manager/Tool pusher/driller.
 To help or substitute the Derrick man during performing trip in and out or
other jobs on the derrick. Take a good handover with my counterpart.
 To be responsible for managing well head tools (elevator, slip, safety slip),
hand tools, inside BOP, lifting sub, mud saver, bit breaker, ropes, spare parts
and other accessories on the rig floor.
 Making up drill-pipe stands (DPS), (MWD) logging tools and bottom hole
assembly (BHA) at rig floor with the use of slips on the well bushings.
 Cleaning the rig/drill floor using rig-wash.

Responsibilities (Derrick man (assistant)

 Monitor and maintain drilling fluid systems and equipment associated
onboard the drilling unit.
 Directs and coordinates work activities associated with drilling fluid system
and equipment operations and works aloft in the derrick (monkey board)
 and/or at the rig-floor pipe rack console running and retrieving drill string
sections from the well bore.
 Responsible for the maintenance and smooth operation of the mud pumps and
mud holding pits among

Responsibilities
 Preparing safety & rigging gadgets for lifting jobs such as shackles, slings
and other related lifting equipments for incoming and outgoing materials
used in the rig.
 Use of proper hand signals with crane operator in actual lifting.
 Engaged in lifting/hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and
material handled, using cables, pulleys, tag line,
blocks and winches, according to the tonnage and size of load to be moved.
 Assist the mudman in chemical mixing and washing of mud tanks and work
at the shale shaker machines.
