Justification/Remarks
The committee has the honor to report it back to the august body with its following findings:
1. That the following will be the services and assistance for the PWD of this municipality:
- Medical Assistance. Refers to assistance to help registered PWDs on their hospitalization
expenses; payment of hospital bill/medical expenses and other medical treatment or
laboratory procedures for not less than Php3,000.00;
- Psychological Treatment Assistance. This type of assistance can only be availed of by the
registered PWD upon request from the court and or from the Medical Doctor on the
necessity of availing Psychological treatment, for not less than Php5,000.00 and not to
exceed Php10,000.00
- Burial Assistance. A cash assistance in the amount of not less than Php3,000.00 upon the
death of the registered PWD and not more than Php10,000.00 if the deceased registered
PWD is an orphaned, neglected poor, displaced and abandoned, be availed of by the
beneficiary or any person who shall shoulder the funeral and burial expenses of the
deceased registered PWD during the presentation of a death certificate. Such expenses
shall cover burial expenses like the purchase of casket or urn, embalming, hospital
morgue, transport of the body to intended burial site in the place of origin, but shall
exclude obituary publication and the cost of the memorial lot.
- Holding room or safe house. As it is one of the PWD rights to have accessible facilities
during disasters or calamities, rescued PWD shall be housed in an LGU owned building
that will served as holding room or safe house, with maximum stay of three days.
Sleeping kit were provided for rescued PWDs.
- Subsistence and lodging assistance. Cash assistance of not more than Php3,000.00,
maximum of 10 days.

2. That the screening process shall be undertaken by the designated MSWDO staff to ensure the
completeness and correctness of the documentary requirements.
3. That the eligibility of the client to avail of the services shall be determined during the
interview and scrutiny of the supporting documents presented.
Recommendation:
The committee recommended for the passage of Draft Ordinance No. 14 - An ordinance providing
guidelines and support to Persons with Disabilities in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, in the second reading.
