DISCUSSION
The Reynolds number of each trial was calculated and collected in data. The experiment was
carried out to investigate the characteristic of the flow of the liquid in the pipe. At the end of
this experiment, the pipe flow condition is laminar or transition or turbulent. For Reynolds
number more than 4000, the pipe flow will call as turbulent (unpredictable, rapid mixing).
For Reynolds number from 2300 to 4000.The pipe flow will be considered a transitional
(turbulent outbursts). Lastly, for Reynold number less then 2300, the pipe flow will be
laminar (predictable, slow mixing). From the data experiments, the pipe flow for trial no 1
and 2 is laminar because it is less than 2300. The pipe flow for trial no 3 and 4 is transition
because it has a value between 2300 and 4000. Finally, the pipe flow for trial 5 is turbulent
because it has a value of more than 4000.
