The purpose of this exercise is to get familiar with the cylinder head and its components.
In this exercise you will get familiar with the cylinder head and components.
After going through the theory session and performing this exercise; you will be able to
identify the main functions of the cylinder head.

 Prepare the tools. Find the list in the service information.

 Tools for removing the valves

The correct values below are valid only for D13K. In case you are using another
training engine for these exercises then you need to use correct values for the chosen
engine.

1. Open the service information of your training engine.

Find the correct tightening torque value for the following components of the cylinder
head:

- Valve cover, screw __________Nm 24 ±4 Nm

- Cylinder head, screw, step 1: __________Nm/ 100 ±5 Nm

- Cylinder head, screw, step 2: __________ 120 ±5°

- Cylinder head, screw, step 3: __________ 90 ±5°

2. Find the maximum permitted values for the valve guide clearance play.

__________mm 0.5 mm

3. Remove the valves on one cylinder. Install the valves again after inspection.

4. Find the correct value for liner height above cylinder block according to the service
information

__________mm 0.18 ±0.03 mm
