Identifying the phase of a guitar pickups and the phase of an

unknown pickup using the N-audio guitar pickup phase tester

Њ Connect the guitar and the pickup phase
tester via a guitar MONO cable. Increase
the volume and the tone and tap to one of the
pickups with a cutter blade to see the phase.
Ќ Connect a guitar MONO cable to the tester.
Connect one wire of an unknown pickup to
the ground and the other one to the Tip. Tap to
see the current phase. Match the phases of the
guitar and the new pickup by soldering the wires
based on the right phase.
