Required Documentation

Each applicant for a visitor visa must submit these forms and documentation as explained below:

visa issuance reciprocity fee, if applicable. Please consult the Visa Reciprocity Tables to find out if you must pay a visa issuance reciprocity fee and what the fee amount is.

It is important that you refer to the Embassy Consular Section web site to determine visa processing timeframes and instructions, learn about interview scheduling, and find out if there are any additional documentation items required. Learn more by contacting the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Applicants must demonstrate that they are properly classifiable as visitors under U.S. law by:

Those applicants who do not have sufficient funds to support themselves while in

documentation substantiating the trip's purpose and specifying the nature of binding obligations, such as family ties or employment, which would compel their return abroad.

Photograph Requirements

Your photo is a vital part of your visa application. To learn more, review the information below on how to provide a suitable photo. Digital images are required for some visa categories, while photos are required for other visa categories. The acceptance of your digital image or photo is at the discretion of the U.S. embassy or consulate where you apply. We recommend you use a professional visa photo service to ensure your photo meets all the requirements.

Your photos or digital images must be:



In color Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (22 mm and 35 mm)

If you normally wear glasses (without tinted lenses), a hearing device, or Dark glasses or glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable. Glare on glasses is not acceptable in your photo. Glare can be avoided with

similar articles, they may be worn in your photo.
