YOU HAVE ASSIGNED A TASK AND SOME OF THE

STUDENTS HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED IT, BUT

OTHERS ARE STILL WORKING
-SHAFINAS KADERA
The students who are still working can be
motivated by saying them, "You can do it."
If the students are taking more time, then 'set
timer', by doing this the students will be
hastened to finish the work assigned. We should
ensure that the time doesn't cause any anxiety.
Complicated tasks should be segregated into
small ones and manageable chunks.
The chunks should be listed into a checklist for
the students to accomplish and mark it off.
Small gifts or prizes should be announced, so
that the students stay motivated.
Building a relationship with the students who
perform slow, then positively reinforcing them.
Checking the students where they are lagging
or if they have any problems or doubts in
finishing the target.
If so try to give them clues and make them
understand the concept.
Encourage them by explaining the importance
of accomplishing the task within the allotted
time.
Providing them with full assistance.
Don't rush them, in a way that they forget
their thoughts and ideas.
Don't threaten to give zero.
Plan a series of sincere and subtle
positive affirmations.
Teach students that when their going
gets tough, they must keep on working.
This means when they get stuck on a
question, they need to try out a few
different strategies until they get it.
