An amazing camping trip

Last weekend, I went camping with my family on Lantau Island. We had a great time.

We arrived there in the afternoon and put up our tent. Then we gathered wood for our
campfire. After dark, we roasted some sweet potatoes and chicken for dinner. We
also toasted some marshmallows over the fire for dessert. They were delicious.

The next day, we woke up at dawn. When I came out of the tent, I found our
belongings scattered all over the place and a monkey was eating the bread we had
brought along for our breakfast! I shouted, ‘A monkey’s stealing our breakfast!’ My
sister thought I was trying to play a joke on the family.

We quickly forgot about the monkey as the sun was rising above the hills and the
view was spectacular. We enjoyed the sunrise and took lots of pictures.

We then had apples for breakfast instead of the bread. After that, we walked to the
beach and went swimming. At the end of the day, we were all very tired. I really
enjoyed camping and I’m looking forward to our next trip.
