PROJECT MicroWorlds EX is a coding environment that empowers students to create and share
interactive games, perform mathematical experiments, explore science simulations and
THEME write multimedia stories. The possibilities are endless!
In this project you have to create a maze game.
A maze is a type of puzzle games where a player moves in complex and branched
passages to find a particular target or location.

IB CRITERIA Inquiring and Analyzing (0 – 8)
i. Explain and justify the theme of your drawing(2/8)
ii. Describe your game maze(controls, start, exit of maze, other turtles as
obstacles)(4/8)
iii. Present a list of snapshots that describe your game(2/8)

Developing Ideas (0 – 8)
i. Draw at least 2 alternative designs of maze to be developed.(3/8)
ii. Select one design to be developed to your final product and justify your selection
with convincing arguments.(3/8)
iii. Present a list of all the turtles and navigational controls in maze(2/8)
Creating the solution (0 – 8)
i. Use the Logo programming to draw the maze(1/8)
ii. Create the navigational controls of the turtle.(5/8)
iii. Program interactions with the background (bounce the walls)(1/8)
iv. Present and explain your final product inside the class.(1/8)
Evaluating (0 – 8)
i. Explain at least two positive points of your final product.(3/8)
ii. Explain at least two negative points of your final product(3/8)
iii. Describe how your solution could be improved(2/8)

All the necessary files of your work must be stored inside a folder that should be titled

GENERAL This project will contribute 50% to the grade of the first semester.
It is mandatory work for all students.
COMMENTS This project must be personal.
DEADLINES Each one of the criteria should be given on the dates as shown in the table below.
A prerequisite for completing one criterion before giving the next.
