From a lot of references, I got many information about Data Analytics.

Data analytics is one of the central elements in business.

Besides being accurate, the results of data processing are also used in solving problems.

With data analytics, a business has the opportunity to optimize its performance, maximize profits, to
make more focused and strategic decisions.

The following article will discuss in more detail what data analytics is, its benefits for companies, stages,
and types of data analytics.

Data analytics is the science of analyzing raw data into meaningful and actionable coherent information.
This information is then used to drive the best business decisions.

Data analytics is a form of business intelligence. This means that this data is used by organizations to
solve specific problems and challenges. The process that goes through is related to finding patterns
among data sets, then providing knowledge about something useful and relevant related to business
improvement efforts.

So, what is the main motivation for me to learn more about data analytics?

Firstly. At the place where I work, I usually work in analyzing data and take the conclusions from my
data. By using excel and a lot of charts or graphs, I feel my interest in that field (data analytics).

Secondly, because I want to get another source of income from the field of data analytics.

We can see from this graph that e-commerce and non-ecommerce retail sales figures from 2013 to 2017
tend to increase. Except 2018, we can see that e-commerce and non-ecommerce retail sales tend to
decrease. However, it can be seen that the level of sales on holidays occupies the first position, followed
by the non-ecommerce sales, then the last, we can see non-ecommerce sales on weekdays.

On holidays, the level of sales, both e-commerce and non-e-commerce, tends to be slightly higher than
normal days.

And there is a significant difference between retail e-commerce holiday season sales and non-
ecommerce retail sales. Finally, we see that in 2020 the level of e-commerce sales has increased very
drastically, while the level of non-ecommerce sales on normal days has decreased very drastically. This
was probably triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic, which at that time caused many restrictions on
activities outside the home, so that many people did online activities even to buy goods or anything else.
