7 DEFINITIONS OF THE TERM

- Knowledge

Knowledge is defined as awareness of facts or as practical skills, and may also refer
to familiarity with objects or situations. Knowledge of facts, also
called propositional knowledge, is often defined as true belief that is distinct from opinion
or guesswork by virtue of justification. While there is wide agreement among philosophers
that propositional knowledge is a form of true belief, many controversies in philosophy

- ABG

Arterial blood gas analysis is an essential part for diagnosing and managing the patient’s
oxygenation status, ventilation status and acid base balance. Arterial blood gas (ABG) test
is a blood test that requires a sample from an artery in your body to measure the levels of
oxygen and carbon dioxide in your blood. The test also checks the balance of acids and
bases, known as the pH balance, in your blood. (Cleveland Clinic, 2022)

- General Intensive Care Unit (GICU) in Hospital Sungai Buloh

A section of a hospital where who are patient’s in ill and critical need special services and
equipment are provided here. In Hospital Sungai Buloh. GICU divides into 2 wings which
are ICU west wing (20 beds) and East wings (18 beds).

- Icu Nurses

ICU nurses of critical care nurses are highly specialized and trained healthcare personnel
who provide nursing care to patient’s with life – threatening illnesses or conditions.
