Initial ClickMagick Setup

1. Setup “Import” Conversion Action
a. This is a google tool that holds your sales data over time
b. See previous video to set this up
2. Create ClickMagick account
a. 30-day free trial:
i. https://clickmagick.com/go/free-trial-7
3. Connect landing page to Clickmagick
a. Copy “website code” from Clickmagick
i. Add another line to the website code after the “hid” line with:
log_action: '.cta', (only copy and paste the yellow highlighted portion
including the comma at the end)
b. Paste newly formatted website code into the “head” settings in your groove pages
account
c. Add “cta” to the css class settings of any link on the page you wish to track as a
“click through” on the lander
d. Save and publish your updated lander
4. Register your first clicks on ClickMagick
a. Use the URL builder tool to create your test URL
i. Make an entry for at least the first 3 UTM parameters
0. Source: product name
1. Medium: account nickname
2. Campaign: campaign name
3. Term: ad group targeting description
4. Content: video name
b. Open to another browser and go to this newly created URL
c. Refresh your ClickMagick account to make sure your click has registered
d. Click one of the button links you placed the “cta” class on
e. Refresh your ClickMagick account to make sure an “action” was registered

NOTE: If you encounter any issues with setting up ClickMagick, reach out to ClickMagick Support.
They are very responsive and can help troubleshoot any problem.

If you are promoting a product on ClickBank, ignore step 5. If you decide to promote a product on
MaxWeb later, you can come back and set this piece up.

5. If promoting a product on MaxWeb:

b. Go into your ClickMagick account
c. Under Tools, go to the Postback URL Tool
d. Type in “Maxweb”
e. Copy this URL
f. Go to your MaxWeb account
g. Click the drop down on the toolbar and select “Postback pixels”
h. Add a new postback pixel with the URL you copied from ClickMagick
6. If promoting a product on ClickBank
a. Here is the exact walkthrough from ClickMagick’s support team:

b. Create secret key in ClickBank
c. Add secret key to ClickMagick
d. Add Clickmagick’s Instant Notification URL to ClickBank
i. This is unique for each account, so to get your unique link, go to the
Postback Pixel Tool in ClickMagick
7. Set up new affiliate link
a. Go to the Affiliate Link Builder in your ClickMagick account
b. Select your network
c. Select “Campaigns”
d. Enter your affiliate link
e. Generate new link
f. Place new link on your lander for all links to the product page
