represents the rice cube that is traded in that city, with the smaller base facing downward,

The body of the columns was filled with reinforced concrete for strength. The circular part of the
building is formed by "mega columns and mega beams", and for the union of both is made, every
eight floors, crossing the central columns with the lateral ones through the beams. For the joints,
cuts are made in the beams to better stabilize the weight and dissipate the energy in case of
collapse, to prevent the walls from cracking. In the main part of the building, an additional 30
meters of columns are added, which penetrate the rocky part of the terrain. In this part of the
support, a total of 601 subway columns of 1.5 meters in diameter are added, plus another 16
support columns in the commercial part of Taipei. To distribute the load of the building, engineers
built a concrete platform in the central part of 3.5 meters thick and in the peripheral part of 4.7
meters and on the sides of 3.5 meters. "The columns rest on the platform, which in turn
distributes the load on the support columns at ground level," explained Shi Ying Kan, during her
recent visit to the Dominican Republic.
