OR Control No. TO: Public Schools District Supervisors Public Elementary School Heads All Others Concerned FROM: OFFICE OF THE SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT SUBJECT: Division Numeracy Assessment for Grades 1-3 Learners DATE: January 3, 2023 PARTICULARS 1. This Office through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) will conduct a Division Numeracy Assessment for all Grades 1-3 learners. 2. This activity aims to determine the status of leamers’ mastery of the fundamental operations in Mathematics which shall guide all teachers and school leaders in developing intervention programs. 3. Public Schools District Supervisor, School Head in-charge Mathematics/District Focal Person, School Heads, Class Advisers, and learners are expected to perform the following: Public Schools District Supervisor * Monitor the administration of the numeracy assessment for Grades 1-3 learners Ensure the confidentiality of the materials Design mechanism for the printing of the materials. Lead in the distribution and retrieval of the test materials with the assistance of the School Head in-charge in Mathematics ‘Address: Alvear St. Lingayen, Pangasinan Telephone No.; (075)522-2202 Email: pangasinani@deped.gov.ph Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region | SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE I PANGASINAN School Head In-charge in Mathematics/District Focal Person * Assist the Public Schools District Supervisor in the administration of the numeracy assessment for Grades 1-3 learners. * Count the number of test materials based on the number of enrolled Grades 1-3 learners * Protect the security and value of the test materials by guarding them against improper use and distribution. No reproduction of test materials is allowed in any form or by any means, electronic or mechanical. School Head * Orient all Grades 1-3 teachers on the conduct of the Division Numeracy Assessment Test. Grades 1-3 Teachers Prepare the learners and administer the Division Numeracy Assessment Test. Observe the confidentiality of the test. Check, record, and interpret the result of the numeracy test. The numeracy test is not intended as a diagnostic, formative, or summative test. It was designed to determine the learner's mastery level of the fundamental operations, 5. Numeracy Test Schedule: + Pre-test: January 17, 2023 * Post-test: May 16, 2023 6. Virtual orientation for all Public Schools District Supervisor and School Heads in-charge in Mathematics will be on January 11, 2023, via Zoom, the link will be provided on the group chat. 7. Immediate and widest dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
