ACC501: Financial Accounting

1. The assignment project is intended to expose students to be familiar with the financial
statement items for the decision-making purpose.

2. The assignment project consists of TWO main parts; i) Report Writing; and ii)
Individual Presentation

3. You are required to find at least TWO companies listed in Tadawul Stock Exchange
from different sectors.

4. Download the Annual Report of the companies in https://www.argaam.com/en

(Only English Version)

5. Make content analysis to the Financial Statement by including the following items;
i. Asset items – (Non-current asset, Current asset, and other assets)
ii. Liability items – (Long term liabilities, current liabilities and other liabilities)
iii. Equity items – (Stock and Shares)
iv. Income – (Revenue, sales, other revenue and sales)
v. Net Income
vi. Taxes / Zakat
vii. Cash Flow Items
viii. Others

6. You are also required to prepare the financial statement ratio analysis and provide
your view on the chosen company’s financial analysis. All relevant financial ratio to
be included in the report.

7. You are also required to provide the company’s overview and its relevant and
important information such as (Name of company, industrial sector, nature of the
company etc)

8. The report should be between 15 – 25 pages (excluding appendices).

9. All the financial statement has to be attached in the report.
