Introduction

Product Overview
This product update describes detailed technical overview of a new product iDirect is introducing to all customers:
The Dell PowerEdge R630 server (R630) for use as iDirect NMS or PP Blade servers.
The Dell R630 server will be mainly used as an iDirect Virtual Server (V-Server) for both NMS and PP Blade. For
more detail, refer to the Virtual Server Configuration Guide document available on the TAC Web site.

PowerEdge R630 Features

The R630 offers:
• 64 GB of RAM on board, two 10-core CPU’s, and 1 GB cache on RAID 10 hard disk controller with the
combined raw disk space of 1.8 TB (6x300 GB) for the NMS Server.
• 16 GB of RAM on board, two 10-core CPU’s, and 1 GB cache on RAID 1 hard disk controller with the
combined raw disk space of 500 GB (2x250 GB) for the PP Blade.
• An Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC), which is included for remote management of PP
Blade and NMS servers.
