Western Pocky
Western Pocky
I used mix media on watercolor paper. I used poster color for red
mainly because it is more solid than watercolor. For blue, I used
ecoline because it is more pigmented than watercolor. Those two
colors dominated my work because a lot of medieval stained glasses
were dominated by those. And for the rest of the colors I used wa-
tercolor. For the thick lines used china ink and marker, for thin
lines and crack effects I used 0.1 and 0.5 drawing pens. I made the
lights reflection by using white gel pen.
For the media, i used poster color paints for the background and a
small flat brush to make the cave wall-look-alike effect, crayons to
emphasize yoshi's figure as the main cave painting, colored pencils
for small human figures (i used the color brown to make it look like
the real paintings we'd find in caves), and 0.1 and 0.3 sized drawing
pens to outline the Pocky logo, Super Mario Bros. logo and Luigi's
figure.
I used BC Bristol paper for the base. Then first, I used brush pain,
because I think it makes an ancient effect more catching eyes be-
cause the result is look like wallpainting in The ancient of Egypt.
Then I used poster colour for the font on the gameboy to make It
look arise. Then for the background I used basic watercolour, I also
used metallic paint for the crown and earrings. I also use 0.1 and 0.3
drawing paint for the outline.
