ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTIONS

Eid al-Adha is the last of the two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year,
but Eid al-Adha this year unlike the previous years because there is a COVID-19 pandemic
that requiring us to doing prayers and slaughter of sacrificial animals (qurban) with an
implement of health protocols, in order to prevent transmission and spread of the corona virus
that has been established by the government.

This report was created in order to explaining how to prayers and slaughter of
sacrificial animals in New Normal era and still obeying the health protocols.
MAIN BODY

Eid al-Adha in 2020 is different from the previous year. This is due to the outbreak of
the COVID-19 pandemic which began at the end of 2019. The central government
emphasized for regions that will carry out Eid al-Adha prayers and slaughter of sacrificial
animals, is a must to obeying health protocols and coordinate with local governments. Except
in the places that considered unsafe from COVID-19 by the local government.

The Ministry of Religion released a guide for the implementation of Eid Al-Adha
Prayers and the Slaughter of Sacrificial Animals in 1441 Hijriah / 2020 AD towards a
Productive and Safe Covid-19 Society. Among them are what is allowed to be done in the
field / mosque / room when performing Eid al-Adha prayers with the following requirements:
a. Preparing officers to carry out and supervise the health protocols in the mosque area;
b. Cleaning and disinfection in the mosque area;
c. Limiting the number of doors / routes in and out, in order to facilitate the monitoring
of health protocols;
d. Providing hand washing / soap / hand sanitizer facilities at the door / entrance and
exit;
e. Providing a temperature checking device at the door / entrance. If a congregation is
found with a temperature> 37.5'C (2 checks with a distance of 5 minutes), they are not
allowed to enter the mosque area;
f. Imposing distance restrictions by providing a special mark for a minimum distance of
1 meter;
g. Shorten the implementation of Eid al-Adha prayers and sermons without reducing to
the terms and conditions.

The slaughter of sacrificial animals also advised to comply with the Covid-19 health
protocol to prevent the potential for virus transmission. Points that must be fulfilled when
slaughtering sacrificial animals with health protocols:

a. The slaughter of sacrificial animals was carried out in areas where physical distancing
was possible;
b. The organizer regulates the density at the location of the slaughter, attended only by
the qurban committee and the sacrificial party;
c. People who do not have an interest are prohibited from entering the slaughter area;
d. Adjusting the distance between the slaughter committee when cutting, skinning,
chopping and packing meat;
e. Sacrificial animal meat is distributed by the qurban committee.
CONCLUSION and RECOMMENDATIONS

In conclusion, the regions that included in the red zone are difficult to join in the joy
of welcoming Eid al-Adha this year, but the government released the right policies to
prevent/break the chain of the corona virus (COVID-19). The writers recommend that
Muslims who lived in the red zone can pray Eid al-Adha at home.
