The story discusses a very serious issue, which is
rape. The young girl being rape and caused her
trauma, a girl who suffered a lot through a sexual
encounter that has scared her for life.
In this short story it is shown that the girl had two
choices to choose between. " She had either to accept
marriage, or close the door forever " Meaning that she
had to spend the rest of her life with a controlling man
that rapped her and tries to build a wall around her so
she has no other choice but to marry him, or in sense
she could accept to live alone and without love.
The story was a tragedy which reflects the sadness
and unexpected truth. It occurs to me that the poor girl
must have suffered tremendously from the disgraceful
violation by her tutor.
The story somehow created anger inside the reader,
because it reveals an undesirable crime which our
society does not allow. Indeed the action of the tutor
was a great sin which totally against our belief.
There might be a lot of victim of sexual abuse today.
Those immoral action was so dangerous and harmful
especially to young generation. Because the traumatic
experience will affect our future.
