THE 28 FUNDAMENTAL BELIEFS OF THE SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH

How can a tree fear wind when its roots are deep into the ground?
The 28 fundamental beliefs of the Seventh Day Adventist Church are therefore the theological
concept of the church. The Beliefs are not prescriptors as said some of the Protestants but are
descriptors which describes the position of the church officially.
Note that, the beliefs are nor criteria for membership but as said earlier, descriptors.
The 28 Fundamental beliefs are based on six categories of the doctrines of God, man, salvation,
the Church, daily Christian life, and the last day events. The Sabbath, creation, Trinity, The
Bible, The Holy Spirit, The Nature of Man as part of the beliefs fall under one of these categories
aforementioned.
The Beliefs vividly show and encompass our daily human activities and nature which are not
different from reality. How is showing love to a brethren by giving out food different from The
Law of God as part of the belief?
The Bible talks about love as the GREATEST of all portraying itself in Marriage and Family,
The Unity in the Body of Christ, the Nature of man, the Life, death and resurrection of Christ.
We all testify to the fact that, there is no way one would not care much about the precious
possessions including our children, houses, acres of land that we had worked harder for. The
Christian behavior sets in here for Christians (Adventists) to care for our bodies as the temple of
God, health, purity among others to depict Christ-like nature in higher standards.
The 28 Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh Day Adventist Church expresses and constitutes the
understanding of the teachings of the Scriptures through the Holy Spirit.
