The study focused on the effectiveness of
Remedial Reading to Non-Readers in
Intermediate Level at Lomboy Elementary
School. It aimed to identify the effectiveness
of various interventions used in the conduct of
remedial reading.
The author used Phonics Approach as a tool in
improving the reading skills of the slow
readers in Grade II pupils. Thus, measuring its
effectivity.
The author used differentiated instruction in
teaching Mathematics and examine if there are
effects in using such intervention.

1. What is action research and its importance to your development as a teacher?
 Action Research is about identifying the problem and taking action to improve practice. Action research helps
teachers develop new knowledge about the problem that they encounter especially inside their classroom. It also
promotes reflective thinking and teaching. Through Action Research it will remind you, as a teacher that there is
always a better way of teaching.

2. How will you use action research to improve different aspects of your profession?
 It will serve as a basis on how I will improve my teaching. On how I will use different strategies and interventions
on solving problem inside my classroom.
