OVERVIEW

Because of their excellent electrical and mechanical
characteristics, DRIWISA™ insulators are used in great
extent in medium voltage metal-enclosed and metal-clad
switchboards for medium voltage (from 7.2 up to 38 kV).
They are mainly used to support conducting bars of buses
and cable support, fuse-clips and other similar devices, to
further support live parts from medium voltage equipment, as
spare parts for DRIWISA™ load-break and non load-break
switches.
DRIWISA™ insulators are manufactured with resin specially
formulated for medium voltage applications and according to
the highest technological standards. The design permits
horizontal or vertical mounting, able to support the weight of
conducting bars in any position. Their robust design enables
them to withstand dynamic stresses produced by short-circuit
currents.
The metallic inserts anchored inside the resin during the
manufacturing process allows a high torque for standard
screws guaranteeing high resistance. Their low weight and
reduced manufacturing tolerances allow DRIWISA™
insulators to perform with excellent mechanical
characteristics.
The exclusive design of their shapes, with a round profile
prevents dust accumulation and makes cleaning easier.
Their dimensions are adequate to match electrical and
mechanical specifications for DRIWISA™ devices
according to international standards (IEC).
