I.VIEWPOINT

This study is all about the importance or advantage of having k-12 among
students who started in year 2012.A comprehensive basic education from kinder to
grade 12.Many parents disagree with this program because of the lack of finances for
educating their children. Also, most students do not continue in college because,
based on their knowledge as well as in the companies, they can have a job even
though only grade 12 graduating.

These can have an advantage, especially over students who are unable to go
to college, because they can now have a job that still depends on the strand or track,
they have taken. As a senior high school student, if you are going to choose a strand,
choose the strand that you know you are capable of and you want the one that will be
happy in that matter so that you will not have difficulty in the next step of your journey
when you come to college. Most parents are the ones who choose the course their
children should take, but you should have the freedom to choose the course or strand
you want because you may not succeed if you don't like the course you took.

II.TIME CONTEXT

The first K-12 public school system appeared in the early 19th century. It is
newly started by the Department of Education in the year 2011-2012,Republic Act No.
10533 is approved on May 15, 2013

III.DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM

This research paper would like to know the advantage of K to 12 programs to a

learner. This research used a systematic procedure to analyze the data.
Lack of financial support among parents of students reached by the K to 12
curriculum programs. Many parents are not in agreement with this program because it
is said that the students who reached the year 2011-2012 will have an additional year
of study, because instead of being in college, they will be going through senior high
school.

Specifically, it wishes to answer the following questions:

1. What are the challenges of the K to 12 programs upon its implementation?

2. What are the perspective of learners on the implementation of this new curriculum?
3. What are the probable outcomes of this program to the learners?
4. It is effect to the financial problem of the k to 12 students?

IV. OBJECTIVE/S
The study's purpose is to learn students' perspectives on the benefits of having a
k12 curricular children's program. This study also aims to determine how well the goals in
the areas of the k12 curriculum are being met as perceived by students. Moreover, the
research seeks to assist learners in evaluating areas that may be of concern in terms of the
benefits of k12 curriculum. This study specifically aims to:

1. Determine the perception of advantage of the k12 curriculum in terms of developing them
2. Distinguish which learning domain students agree the most.
3. Assess if the curriculum and the means that it should be implemented are met

IV.AREA OF CONSIDERATION
K to 12 curriculum was approve by former President Benigno Aquino III, on the year
of 2011 – 2012 it is an additional two years in high school that the student needed to
accomplish. K to 12 curriculum cover kindergarten and 12 years of basic education (six
years of primary education, four years of junior high school, and two years of senior high
school SHS) to provide sufficient time for master of concepts and skills, develop lifelong
learners. And prepare graduates for tertiary education.
Since k to 12 curriculums approve many rumors come up that the k to 12 program is
a waste of time for the student because they are obligated to have additional two years of
study in senior high school instead of being a college student.
To further understand the Advantage of K to 12 students SWOT analysis is
presented below:

Strengths.
1. Improve Filipino student mathematical, scientific, and competence
2. DepEd promise to offer higher quality of education through tracks
3. Master the skills of the students on their chosen tracks
4. K to 12 does not compel each student to take college after completing Senior
High School
Weaknesses.
1. Lack Financial ability of parents and students
2. Additional two years of schools
3. Lack of school building
4. Insufficient number of teachers
5. Lack of learning materials and books
Opportunities.

2. Linguistic to further exhibit competence in global job market
Threats.
1. Parents can’t provide financial assistances for their children
2. Pressure on the educators

VI. ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF ACTION (ACA)

All of these are alternative and thus not limited to the original of the project. In the
financial problem, the possible solution is the following:
-Use Any Legal Opportunity to Get Money
-Lowering your expenses
-Set Financial Priorities

-Monthly allowance from Department of Education
