Daniela: Hi Sandra, how are you? I've been busy with my history classes.
Sandra: Hi Daniela, everything's fine here, what topics are you looking at in your class?
Daniela: Well, a little bit of everything really, but now last I've been looking at the
generations with the years they span.
Sandra: Wow, that sounds amazing, I've taken that course too, if I'm not mistaken, we're
now in generation z.
Daniela: Yes! those from 1995 to the current one! We are recognized by the technology
generation.
Sandra: You just refreshed my memory Daniela! You are absolutely right, do you know
which generation is Angelina Jolie?
Daniela: Of course! She is from the Xennials generation, she seems to me to be an
important person in her generation, she was born on June 4, 1975 in Los Angeles,
California, she is currently 47 years old.
Sandra: I have read that she contributes a lot to culture, education and therefore to the
whole social environment. An important representative of the generation, definitely.
Daniela: Yes, she has a safe seat at the UN, she has always been charitable and has never
given up on social support.
Sandra: I always see that she brings, rather, you know who is a very important
representative of our generation? I think Greta Thunberg, she was born on January 3, 2003,
she is currently 19, she was born in Stockholm, Sweden.
Daniela: We share the same idea Sandra! I always keep an eye on how much she
contributes to society and how she develops within charity, environmental support, support
for equality, equity and respect between men and women.
Sandra: Sure, Greta is an environmental activist who contributes a lot to society with her
constant press conferences and investigations. Time magazine has named her a leader of
the next generation at the young age of 16.
Daniela: Like Angelina, they support society in a very noticeable way! They both make the
change they want to bring about very noticeable.
Sandra: That's great that you think like that and tell me, when are you going to take this
course again?
Daniela: I'm due in a week and I think we will be tested on what we have learned.
Sandra: Wow that's great, do you want to practice together?
Daniela: Yes, I would like to, let's start with what positive or negative differences we can find
in those two generations, the X and the Z.
Sara: Ok, let's do it together, I think that generation "x" seeks a balance between work and
personal life, unlike those born between 1950 and 1960 (baby boomers) who live to work,
the "x" work to live and are more results-oriented .
Daniela: I agree with you, while generation Z grew up with access to the Internet and to the
different platforms that we use today for entertainment, work and as a means of
communication, they are self-sufficient and above all self-taught, they can learn skills online
without having to go to classes .
Sandra: You know, what sets these generations apart is that the "technologies of the future,"
which are so appealing to millennials, are already very much integrated into the lives of
centennials. In fact, 82% of Gen Z reps are convinced that they are very knowledgeable
about new technologies.

Daniela: They really have their positive and negative things, among them is that there is
greater access to information from the Internet, but the negative is the abuse of rights that
occurred in ancient times.

Sandra: How interesting it is to talk about this, do you think we can continue talking later? I
have to catch a plane.

Daniela: ¡Sure! see you later, take care and have a good trip.
