His words has given us what
we need to understand about
our life of victory and success.

3 * The Soil – The heart (My Mind)

4 The birds, sun, rocks and thorns

No farmer would plant without

expecting a harvest.
He wished that there will be
great harvest, but it is not
always the case.

UNDERSTANDING.

Reasons why we have not clearly heard from God:

Pride.
Pride causes us to have a closed mind.

Fear.
Sometimes we’re just afraid of what God
might say to us.

Reasons why we have not clearly heard from God:

Bitterness.
Whenever we’ve been hurt and we hold
on to those hurtful memories, it causes us
to close our minds to God.

 James 1:21
“Get rid of all the moral filth and
the evil that is so prevalent and
humbly accept [circle “accept”]
the word planted in you which
can save you.”
It is very important that we hear from God about the
direction of our lives and how we will have success.

Some of us have been believers for many years. But,

have you ever heard God speak to you?
When you’ve got a closed mind, obviously, God is not
going to get through.
You will not be able to understand the plans of God
for you.

I must cultivate an open mind
to understand what God
wants me to do so I can be
successful.

affected by the things that
will stop him from achieving
His goals.

CONCENTRATION.
v. 7, 22
Jesus says that distractions
are like weeds:

1 First, worries can distract you.

2 Riches can be a weed in your life.

3 Another weed can be pleasure.

He will come close to God to
eliminate distractions and
concentrate on His goals.
