Dear…

Greetings!
Given the learning setup last school year, it couldn’t be denied that the
teaching and learning process could be delivered better by utilizing e-learning
such as Quipper since it could definitely help both the teacher and student to
communicate, think, and share learning and teaching materials anywhere and
anytime.
However, the post-evaluation conducted by Quipper itself to the Junior and
Senior High School students revealed the following significant results,
specifically regarding “Platform Experience”:
a. That a majority (61%) of the student-respondents disagreed that they
could improve their study habits thru Quipper (p. 19).
b. That more than half (69%) of the students said they were not motivated
with the help of Quipper (p. 18)
c. That 43% of the students believed they could not easily master the
lessons using Quipper (p.17)
In addition, the same evaluation given to the faculty members indicated the
following comments, among others, from the teacher-users (p. 10):
a. I didn’t maximize the use of the platform because my assigned subject is
not available.
b. Quipper is redundant with Google Classroom, and Google is still way
better LMS.
c. Materials are relevant to students’ needs; however, some are not aligned
with DepEd curriculum mapping.
d. Improve teaching materials for elective subjects.
e. Assessment/homework for General Physics has a lot of mistakes and
corrections for several lessons.
f. Distinction between subject tasks is hard to look.
g. Answers in quizzes are not always right.
h. Everything including quiz is only multiple choice and is not very
convenient.
It is hoped that this clarifies the matter why teachers and students, who
despite utilizing the Quipper platform during its trial run, eventually opted not
to use it for instructional delivery.
Thank you very much for your utmost consideration.
