My Take on the Primal Beliefs

As I discussed the different primal beliefs of the world’s early religions, I came to
realize that most of our ways of life at present have been strongly influenced by these primal
beliefs, and far from our understanding, our outlooks have actually stemmed and were
shaped by these beliefs of the earliest religions.
These spiritual practices, some have dissipated while some have stood the test of
time, have encapsulated the three million years of early humans’ traditions and beliefs.
These primal beliefs helped the huma race to understand reality. From the discussion, we
have seen that these practices and traditions of the earliest religions and civilizations were
actually structured, which gives the notion that there have been a system existing in that
period which perhaps have guided the people in their ways of living.
The primal beliefs show how humans have assigned importance to different aspects of
human existence. To satisfy human curiosity, the formation of these beliefs has actually
conceived life’s ultimate significance, meaning, and purpose.
As an educator, I have been amazed on how the early humans came to form these
sets of primal beliefs even without a formal system of education. Their wisdom is indeed
noteworthy as they were able to come up with these particular beliefs based on their
observations and close connection with nature. The discussion shed light as to how some of
our superstitious beliefs that exists even to this modern day came into existence. Most of us
today still believe in faith-healers, the counterpart of shamans. We also believe that we are
always living with the spirits of nature and the spirit of our departed love ones. Some still
practice blood sacrifices, and most of us believe that we are living in harmony with the
nature.
This means that even if we are living in the modern period, our traditions, beliefs, and
practices are influenced and akin to the beliefs of the earliest humans.
