ASME BPV Part II.A 2019
The saddle at the lowest section must resist the horizontal force (F). The effective cross section of the saddle to resist this load is
one third of the vessel radius (R).
The average stress shall not exceed two-thirds of the compression yield point of the material.
C1 = A/L = 0.02
C2 = (R2-H2) / 2 / A / L = 0.37
C3 = 4H/3/L = 0.08
C4 = K1 R2 ts = 226.13 in3
S1 = Q A (1 - (1-C1+C2)/(1+C3)) / C4 = -42.18 psi
Stress at midspan :
C5 = 2 (R2-H2) / L2 = 0.024
C6 = p R2 ts = 2120.58 in3
S1 = Q L ((1+C5)/(1+C3) - 4 C1) / 4 / C6 = 244.58 psi
Satisfactory, since the tensional stress does not exceed the stress value of the girth seam!

Date : ###
Check : ts / R = 0.025
Since ts / R > 0.005 then compression stress is not factor
Check :
S4 < 1.5 Sv
Satisfactory, since S4 does not exceed (1.5 times the stress value of shell material).
