The Department of Education ([DepEd), in its commitment to ensure learning
continuity amid the challenges and ambiguities brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, issues the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) to assess the readiness of schools to participate in the conduct of the pilot implementation face-to -face learning modality. In the preparation for the reopening of the schools, the SSAT, which was initially issued as School Readiness Checklist last December 2020 through n office Memorandum, aims to reassess the readiness of the 638 pre-identified schools. The SSAT focuses on four main areas, namely; (1) Managing School Operation, (2) Focusing on teaching and learning (3) Well- being and protection and (4) Home-school coordination. It contains indicators and standards that would show readiness of the schools to participate in the pilot study of the face-to-face learning modality if met. The school safety assessment tool (SSAT) shall be used to assess the readiness of the school to participate in the conduct of pilot information to face-to-face learning modality in the time of the Covid -19 pandemic. The date gathered shall be used as baseline information in preparation for the safe reopening of classes. To uphold the Department’s mandate of attaining basic education, our school will conduct Consultations with parents, provision of feedback and instructional support for learners, facilitation of assessment, preparation of weekly home learning plan (WHLP) and other related tasks after face to face classes this coming February 21, 2022.
