Me A AS sags a a < uw HOW TO PLAY BENTO BOX Ie You are in charge of making bento boxes for the lunch rush and your customers are very picky! To make a successful Bento box - you must have 8+ matching sushi orthogonally adjacent in one group and also 8+ matching condiments orthogonally adjacent in one group. but if you want more money from your customers you will want to make sure you group as many like sushi and condiments together in orthogonal groups of 3 or more - you lose money for anything not in an orthogonal group of 3 or more. ag + Take the 4 starter tiles - these have stars on their backs & fronts - and place them ina square as shown (it can be in any order). this is the start of your bento box. + Shuffle remaining tiles and cards and create 2 face down piles allowing room for 2 discard piles. «Draw 4 tiles and 4 cards and place them so they are in easy reach. The following 4 moves are mandatory and must be performed in the following order: 1. Play 1 sushi tile. it must be placed orthogonally with jan existing tile and cannot overlap. 2. Perform the action on your selected card (see overleaf for more details on moves) then discard. 3. Discard 1 tile and 1 card from the remaining face up cards & tiles. 4. Replenish the face up cards and tiles back up to 4 of each. The game ends when you can no longer replenish the face up area. You should have 19 tiles in your bento box at this point. Check that you have an orthogonally connected group of 8+ sushi and 8+ condiments to move onto scoring. Ae) SS Score sushi groups and condiment groups separately using the score sheet - remember it is only classed as a group if it is orthogonally connected and contains 3 or more tiles. You will lose $5 per tile not in a group. KA a a SSS On the move cards, the blue bento box represents the current tile you just placed this round. The red bento box represents the old tile that was previously placed. Move all tiles in the column by 1 position either up or down. You can only use this card if the tile you are placing forms a column group of 2 or more of the same sushi or condiment. You can not move anything that is already in a different group to the current tile. Single tiles are not considered a group. Move all tiles in the row group by 1 position either left or right. You can only use this card if the tile you are placing forms a row group of 2 or more of the same sushi or condiment. You can not move anything that is already in a different group to the current tile. Single Sa Piles are not considered a group. — Change place of the tile placed with the tile directly above or below it. If there is no tile above or below it, this card can not be used. Change place of the tile placed with the tile directly left or right of it. If there is no tile left or right of it, this card can not be used.
