LEADER: On behalf of my group mates, I would like to greet everyone a pleasant morning

especially to our gorgeous panelist and to all the graduating students who are here today to
present their research title. After the brainstorming of our group, we formulated three research
titles. To provide a great explanation for its research title we formulated possible questions and
we provide answers for it so our panelist can establish the ideas about each research title.

LEADER: The first research title will be presented by Marjorie Ravela, Rachelle Ann Colete,
Aira De Guzman, Vianca Samson and Christina Reyes.

LEADER: The research title number 2 will be presented by Bon Jonard Sayo, Vincent Calleja,
Rodel John Melchor, Mark John Juliano Santiago, Jeffrey Dela Cruz and Billy Pineda.

LEADER: The research title number 3 will be presented by Jerome David, Jhayvee Mendoza,
Wency Musni. Famela Alacon and Eulysis Vargas.

CHRISTINA REYES: Thank you for introducing us. Our first research title is THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF CURFEW HOURS IN SAN NICOLAS, GAPAN CITY.

1. Why did you choose this topic?

CHRISTINA REYES: The first question that we consider is 1. Why did you choose this topic?
The reason why we choose this topic is because as a Criminology student we’ve studied the
implementation of laws and the punishments for those who didn’t obey the laws. We want to
conduct this research as we want to understand how a certain barangay or local government
implements an ordinance. This research will provide ideas about how the local community
implements the ordinance and how effective their community officers are. We choose to conduct
it in San Nicolas, Gapan City as it is accessible and safe to conduct the survey for future
interviews.

2. Explain what your research is all about

RACHELLE ANN COLETE: To explain what our research is all about. Our research is about
how the local community officers such as the barangay officials implement ordinance
specifically the curfew. It will focus on the factors that affect the implementation of ordinance
and how effective it is.

3. What is the scope of the study?

AIRA DE GUZMAN: The third question we consider is what will be the scope of our research.
This study is premised on the Curfew regulations that have been implemented in Barangay San
Nicolas, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija which is where the researcher will assess the level of
implementation and the Problems encountered during the implementation of curfew hours.

4.What research methodology will you use?

VIANCA SAMSON: The fourth question we formulated is what research methodology we need
to use. This study will use quantitative descriptive research using survey questionnaires which
are the most suited method to gather data for the research study.
5.Why will you use that research method?

CRISTINA REYES: The fifth question we consider is why do we have to use that research
method. We choose quantitative descriptive research because this method involves the
identification of attributes of a particular phenomenon based on an observational basis or the
exploration of correlation between two or more phenomena

6. What are your research variables?

MARJORIE RAVELA: It is also important to consider the research variables before we proceed
to conduct it. The research framework model shows independent variables which include the
profile of the offender. On the other hand, the dependent variables include the levels of
implementation, problems encountered, and strategies undertaken during the implementation of
curfew hours at Barangay San Nicolas, Gapan City.

7. What is the significance of your study?

AIRA DE GUZMAN: And last, we consider the significance of this research student. This study
would be a great contribution to the prevention of committing crimes by young people since we
will conduct research regarding the implementation of curfew hours. The result can help the
community to master their ordinances and how it can be implemented well so peace and order
can be maintained.

Research Title Number 2: THE IMMEDIATE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON LAW ENFORCEMENT

OFFICERS OF BRGY. SAN NICOLAS, GAPAN CITY

MARK JOHN JULIANO: Our research title number 2 is THE IMMEDIATE IMPACT OF COVID-
19 ON LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF BRGY. SAN NICOLAS, GAPAN CITY

1. Why did you choose this topic?

BON JONARD SAYO: The first question we consider is why do we choose this topic. The
reason why we choose this topic is because as a criminology student one of our major subjects
is law enforcement. We wanted to examine how the covid 19 virus affects the law enforcement
so we can provide further solutions on how it can be improved if we will have a nationwide
emergency like this in the future. We choose Barangay San Nicolas, Gapan City because it is
accessible for us and we can conduct the research in a well-mannered plan since we know
barangay officials there. This research title will also showcase our skill and ability as a
criminology student.

2. Explain what your research is all about

VINCENT CALLEJA: To explain what this research is about. This research will be about the
Immediate effects of covid 19 virus to the law enforcement officers in the local community,
specifically the barangay officials. We believe that studying the effects of covid 19 virus on law
enforcement officers will make them ready for any nationwide emergencies. As a criminology
student one of our future roles in our community is law enforcement. We believe making
research regarding the effect of covid 19 virus in the field of law enforcement will make us a
great police officer.

3. What is the scope of the study?

RODEL JOHN MELCHOR: We also need to consider the scope of our study. This study will
focus on law enforcement officers to see how they managed enforcing the laws during national
emergency just like the covid 19 pandemic. We will examine the expertise of our law
enforcement officers and how they can adapt to conflict situations like the pandemic.

4.What research methodology will you use?

JEFFREY DELA CRUZ: The fourth question we formulated is what methodology we will use.
The research methodology that we will use to conduct this research is the Quantitative method
through the use of surveys. We will measure the effect of Covid 19 virus to law enforcement
officers using the survey composed of statements to be scored by the respondents. Quantitative
research produces objective data that can be clearly communicated through statistics and
numbers.
5.Why will you use that research method?

BILLY PINEDA: The fifth question is why do we choose that research method. We will use the
Quantitative method because our goal is to attain greater knowledge and understanding of the
social world, specifically the law enforcement field as a mode of establishing peace and order to
society with the use of police power as one of the fundamental powers of the state. Researchers
use quantitative methods to observe situations or events that affect people just like the covid 19
pandemic and how it affects the law enforcers.

6. What are your research variables?

MARK JOHN JULIANO: We also consider the research variables before we conduct it. The
dependent variable will be the law enforcement officers of Brgy. San Nicolas, Nueva while the
independent variable will be their pandemic response.

7. What is the significance of your study?

VINCENT CALLEJA: And last, we consider the significance of our study. This study will be
significant to the law enforcers, people and to legislators it will help them focus on the lapses,
advantages of the law imposed on the people and will recommend a better approach on law
making and law enforcement.

Research Title Number 3: THE LEVEL OF AWARENESS IN A TRAFFIC LAWS OF A PUBLIC
TRANSPORTATION DRIVER AT GAPAN CITY: BASIS FOR INTERVENTION PROGRAM

JEROME DAVID: For our third research title I would like to inform you that it will be THE LEVEL
OF AWARENESS IN A TRAFFIC LAWS OF A PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION DRIVER AT
GAPAN CITY: BASIS FOR INTERVENTION PROGRAM

1. Why did you choose this topic?

JEROME DAVID: The first question is why do we choose this topic. We choose this topic to
determine the common traffic violation committed by the public transportation driver and to
Identify the level of awareness of a public transportation driver in a traffic law.

2. Explain what your research is all about?

JHAYVEE MENDOZA: To explain what this research is about. This research is about the level
of awareness of traffic laws of a public transportation driver at Gapan City.

3. What is the scope of the study?

JHAYVEE MENDOZA: To answer the third question, what is the scope of our study. The scope
of this study will focus on traffic laws and the level of awareness of public transportation drivers
with the violation they committed.

4.What research methodology will you use?

WENCY MUSNI: The fourth thing to consider is the research methodology. The research
methodology that we will use is a descriptive method. We will describe systematically a situation
or area of interest factually and accurately, with the use of survey interviews we can describe
the level of the awareness of the public transportation driver with traffic violation.

5.Why will you use that research method?

FAMELA ALACON: The fifth question is why do we choose that research method. We will use
the descriptive method because it is the easiest way to examine the level of awareness of
drivers with the traffic violation they committed.

6. What are your research variables?

EULYSIS VARGAS: The fifth question we consider is the research variables. The dependent
variable will be the public transportation drivers and the independent variable will be the level of
their awareness with the traffic violation.

7. What is the significance of your study?

EULYSIS VARGAS: The last question we consider is the significance of our study. The
significance of the study is to develop or propose an intervention program to enhance
awareness in traffic laws.
