RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design and Methodology

The researchers made used of qualitative approach in

order to satisfy the objective of the study. This study

employed a descriptive analysis in identifying the degree of

effectiveness of the community support program of Armed

forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police in

Sagada. Furthermore, a qualitative research was employed

through interviews and guide questions regarding the effect

of of the community support program of Armed forces of the

Philippines and Philippine National Police in Sagada.

Population and Locale

The research was conducted in Sagada and the

respondents are the Barangay Captain, Secretary, 1st kagawad

and SK chairman. The respondents of the SOP 1 will be the

Barangay Captain and Sk Chairman, SOP2 will be the

Secretary, SOP3 will be the 1st Kagawad and SOP4 will be

them all.
Data Gathering Instruments

To determine the effects of the communiy support

program of Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine

National Police in Sagada.The data gathering instruments

that we used was to gather the Barangay

Captain,Secretary, 1st Kagawad and SK Chairman.The

researcher used a questionnaire that was drawn out from

previous studies and research for it is proven to

be much more effective on the type of research that

we are having.

The researcher also used this method of data

gathering for it is known to have less bias and

the least expensive way of collecting data. And it

also promotes open minded options that were provided

to accommodate open minded options related to our study to

also avoid any kind of bias in the method of collecting this

data.

It also encourages the respondents to be more

cooperative due to the fact that it is much more comfortable

to respond and much open to options but still related and

specific to our type of research that the researcher is

conducting.
Data Gathering Procedures

The researchers had allotted vigorous time, effort and

cooperation in developing their questionnaire so as to serve

its intended respondents. The survey was created using

suitable questions modified from related research and

individual questions formed by the researchers. After the

professor approved the questionnaire, survey were sent to

the respondents the Barangay Captain, Secretary, 1st

Kagawad and SK chairman. Participants were given time to

respond and then the researchers collected the survey

questionnaires the next working day.

The data gathered from this research

instrumentwere tallied and computed for interpretation

according to the frequency of items checked by the

participants. Along with primary data, the researchers also

made use of secondary resources in the form of published

articles and literatures to support the survey results.

Treatment of Data

The researchers used descriptive statistics to

arrive at the valid conclusions and recommendations. This

study was centered on answering the four statement of the

problem. The data gathered was reproduced by encoding, the


common response coded and then segmented. The theories and

other related literature was used to interpret the data

gathered.
