Chapter 1

Early morning of Wild Winter Resident, Britney Hill the head maid is serving her
14 years old duties such as housekeeping, managing and financial. She is trusted
by her master who is the owner of the resident Mr. Jude Winter . Britney is well
known for her great leadership, and her intelligence. Everything was normal until
the head chef rushed to Britney while panting in exhaustion with sweat all over his
face. Britney gets worried about the situation and asked " What on earth
happened to you, Josh?" The head chef Josh Villy stays panting while speaking
"The- the basement smells- like a dead... it's- it's out of nowhere... I even- checked
last night everything was fine -now the food in there must go bad" Britney couldn't
stand looking at panting Josh she demanded near young maids " Go get some
water now! " Then she left the exhausted Josh with the maids and rashly walks to
the basement.

Chapter 2

Britney sees a bunch of maid and chefs get ill from the smell near the basement
so she put her handkerchief closely on her nose with only a little space for
breathing and start approaching the basement to find out what is the deadly
smell as she approaches the smell gets stronger which is making her want to
vomit but she continues but stopped when the smell gets the strongest the rotten
corpse can be seen from a near distance with his mouth wide open, many kinds
of insects living on the head like a beehive. Britney shocked by the unexpected
scene run out the basement in a speed towards the telephone immediately dialing
to the local police office. ‘ Brringggg.....bringgg...bringgg..tap. Hello this the
police department what can I help you’ Britney replied in fear “There-there is a
murder case in Wild Winter resident. The corpse... is in the basement when I went
because of the smell...” ‘Please calm down miss, what’s your name?’ “Britney
Hill,” ‘Alright Miss Britney the police officers will be there in a moment for now I
request everyone including you to stay in a place and don’t let anyone leave’ “Yes
officer” ‘tap...’ Britney is relieved by the police's words and demanded every
worker in the resident to stay in the main hall, she checks the list to make sure no
one is left out at this time she remembers Josh but the police officers has arrived
with a well-dressed detective. The detective approached Britney and introduced
“You must be Miss Britney, Nice to meet you I am detective Edward Austen
“Britney got surprised “How did you know my name?” Edward answers while
chuckling “I heard your name in the telephone besides when I saw you, I have no
doubt that you must be Britney” she looked at the detective in disbelief but
eventually they started the work. The police officers collected the clues in the
basement. While they were collecting the detective Edward started questioning
Britney “So Miss tell me everything you know” ‘I was managing the duties of the
maids as usual when suddenly the head chef Josh rushed and tell me about the
smell from the basement where we store food so I walked into the basement while
covering my nose and found the rotten corpse” Edward asked while taking notes
“Do you know the corpse?” Britney thinks carefully then answers “I didn’t
recognize the face but I may know if I see an accessory of the corpse” Edward
interrupted while looking at young chefs talking about the missing head chef
“Seems like the head chef is missing... Hmm how interesting” then Britney
suddenly remembers “Oh right! He was panting I exhaustion this morning so I let
a maid him a cup of water and let him rest since then I haven’t seen him yet”
Jane called police and tell him to search for Josh. “WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!?” a
sudden high pitch voice echo in the hall made everyone in silence, Britney
suddenly runs up to the woman and apologize “My apologies Madam Lucia, a
murder case happened in the resident but” the lady interrupted in unsatisfactory
“Huh! You are the head maid for a long time how could you let a murder
happened easily in the resident while I was away” Britney bows her head not
daring to look up. Just then the detective interrupted “Such a delegate lady like
you must be the Mrs. Lucia Winter” Lucia judges the detective “And you are?”
Edward smiles while introducing himself “I am Detective Edward Austen and I feel
sorry for the disappointment after a long journey but it has nothing to do with the
head maid actually the corpse just arrived” everyone the hall began making
noises Madam Lucia shouted “SILENCE!” everyone just shut up and lower their
heads. “We can continue this in the guest room and as for you Britney we will talk
about your punishment later it won’t be good for this gentleman to keep waiting.
Go get some tea...” Lucia sigh in mockery and goes up stairs.
 Chapter 3
Madam Lucia is sitting in front of the detective there’s a long silence between
them, the detective observes around the room. Madam Lucia started conversation
“What do you mean by the corpse just arrived?” the detective turned around and
said “Oh I have talked with the head chef and I am sure he checks the basement
every evening at 9 pm after dinner so I assume the corpse must have change its
locations seeing the body is dead for 3 days and nobody is yet notice until now”
Lucia takes a deep breath “So you mean the murderer is the insider” the
detective proudly says “Exactly!” Lucia’s anger is written on the face but she
calmly asks “Perhaps any suspects considering, how much confident you are with
the answer” the detective chuckle “Considering of your curiosity, you may be one
of them. Right now, everyone cannot be trust you can assume everyone in this
mansion as suspects” the detective gets up “Now if you would excuse me, let’s
enough for today’s talk” while walking to the entrance. Later the clues have been
found Edward look at them and notice something weird the dead body can’t be
unidentified by its look especially the face even though the body is rotten the face
has the most damage besides the clues point to many people which is confusing
and the head chef is missing with no trace. There were mud boots print on the
floor so Edward assumed the body must have arrived yesterday which was a rainy
day and the workers has less job since their owners were travelling as he think
“Mr. Jude Winter! Right, he is the missing before the head chef”. Then he rushes
to the head maid office to find her. With the help of Britney, they confirmed the
dead body is Mr. Juda Winter as they have the same size and clothes. Now the
case get more confusing Mr. Juda left for a business meeting 1 week ago and
would come back on this week but delayed because of the weather condition. The
clues found in the basement are Mud Boots prints, Handkerchief from Britney
and some spilled Pills for Mental disorder. The clues actually make Mrs. Lucia as
a culprit but there’s no proof of her killing her husband as their time line of
travelling are different so there’s no way that she killed her husband. Edward
knows the culprit and arrested __________________________ for the murder. The
solution is the person didn’t say every information and left certain thing on
purpose for misunderstanding.
