Manual Plotting of Lot Boundaries

A. Using Bearing and Distance (Polar Coordinates)


1. “UNITS” Command

a. Angle > Type: Select “Surveyor’s Units”


b. Angle > Precision Select “ N0d00’00”E ”
c. Insertion scale > Select “ Meters”
d. Click “OK”

2. “PDSIZE” COMMAND
Command: PDSIZE <enter>
Enter new value for PDSIZE: 1 <enter>

3. “PDMODE” Command
Command: PDMODE <enter>
Enter new value for PDSIZE: 35 <enter>

Note:
C – circle
Re – regenerating windows/refresh
Z- zoom > E- extent
E- erase
X – explode
ESC- escape/ to cancel command
L – line
PL – polyline
CO/CP – copy
PO – points
F – Fillet
BO – boundary creation

4. For drawing area


Circle <enter>
Specify center: 20000,20000 <enter>
Radius: 20000 <enter>

Note: 20000,20000 coordinates of all BLLM No. 1 of every CADASTRE


LPCS (Local Plane Coordinate System)

5. For plotting the lot boundaries


Assumed that the tie point is the BLLM No. 1

Right Click “OSNAP” Select “Settings”

Mark “ endpoint, center, node”


Click “OK”

Line <enter>
Specify first point: Click the “center of the circle”
Specify next point: type “@distance<bearing” <enter>
Example: @989.56<N34d42’E <enter>
Specify next point: type the next line (same format)

*Check the end points ( if the end point and starting point does not closed)

Use “FILLET” COMMAND


F <enter>
Select first object: (line 5-1)
Select second object: (line 1-2)

6. BOUNDARY CREATION (polygon/object) / check the area


BO <enter>

Object type: select “polyline”


Click “OK”
Pick internal point: click inside the lot/polygon <enter>

To check the area/perimeter


Command: type “AREA” <enter>
Specify first corner or [Object/Add/Subtract]: type “O” to choose object <enter>
Select Object: Click the boundary

***in the command line shows the AREA and PERIMETER of the object/polygon
B. Using Northings and Eastings (Rectangular Coordinates)

1. PO <enter>
Specify a point: input “Eastings, Northings” <enter>
<enter> to repeat the command
input “Eastings, Northings” <enter>
