Difference between Industrial Management & Production Management

i) Industrial management deals with the analysis, design and control of productive
systems (A productive system is any system that produces either a product or a
service). On the other hand, Production management deals with the concepts and
techniques specific to the analysis made by industrial management.

ii) Production management is mostly associated with managing a production

environment whereas Industrial management is concerned with designing the system
used in production management.
