What IS stress...?

Stress is your body's reaction to help you deal with

pressure or threats. This is sometimes called a "fight
or flight" response. Your stress hormone levels
usually return to normal once the pressure or
threat has passed. A small amount of stress can be
useful. It can motivate you to take action and get
tasks completed
# TODAY , EXPECT
SOMETHING GOOD TO
HAPPEN TO YOU NO
MATTER WHAT OCCURRED
YESTERDAY . REALIZE THE
PAST NO LONGER HOLDS
YOU CAPTIVE . IT CAN ONLY
CONTINUE TO HURT YOU IF
YOU HOLD ON TO IT .
STRESS FEELINGS :
•Insomnia or chronic trouble sleeping
•Inability to motivate
•Anxiety that results in physical symptoms
(hair loss, nail biting, losing weight)
•Depression (not wanting to spend time
with friends, making excuses, sleeping
excessively)
•Mood swings (bursting into tears, bouts of
anger.

Stress-Relieving
Hobbies
01.Gardening

Gardening can be a great stress reliever for

many reasons, including getting you into
the sunshine and fresh air, creating more
beautiful surroundings to come home to
each day, and more.
02.Puzzles
Engaging your mind in a puzzle can take your
focus off of what’s stressing you, and develop your
brain power at the same time. The end result is
that you get a nice break, experience some 'flow’,
and come back to your problems with a fresher,
stronger mind, which can help you to better
handle life’s stressors.
03. Drawing, Painting, and Coloring
You can get in touch with your artistic side and use
drawing as a way to process emotions, distract
yourself, and achieve other stress management
benefits. The end result will be something beautiful
and personal that you can enjoy or share.
Painting carries similar stress management benefits
as drawing but through a different medium.
Coloring is another great stress-relieving activity
that has grown in popularity.
# Role of exercise in
relieving stress
● Strengthening the bones and muscles.
● Improving immunity which leads to a lesser
risk of infections and sickness.
● Lowering of blood pressure. It can have the
same effect as that of antihypertensive medicine
in some cases.
● Improves the good cholesterol levels in the
blood.
● Helps in getting better sleep at night.
● Improves self-esteem.
#Benefits of Laughter
for the Mind

There are also many studies showing laughter effective for

psychological stress. Enjoyable laughter helps clear our head, lowering
the mental stress hormones emitted by the frontal lobe. Recent
research shows that laughing increases the activity of the sympathetic
nervous system, which in turn increases the activity of the
parasympathetic nervous system as a rebound effect. Laughter
temporarily excites the autonomic nervous system, bringing a
psychological relaxation effect. The feeling of calmness and clarity after
a good laugh is one of the easiest effects we can experience ourselves.
