Step 2 - Reflect
Answer the following reflection questions. Give at least one insight based on a personal experience, for each answer.

1. Will the strategy of pacing lead you to greater academic success? Why or Why not? (Keep in mind that what works for one individual might
not work for another. You may suggest in your paragraph an alternate time management strategy that you feel will work better for you.)
Yes, the strategy of pacing can lead me to greater academic success. Having a strategy of pacing allows me to be more effective and
productive in my daily life. It will help me to manage my time wisely and finish my tasks on time. Having enough time for each task for a week
prevents me from procrastination which can only cause me a lot of stress.

Procrastination means putting off a task until it is almost too late or it is too late to complete it.

2. Describe a time when procrastinating has caused you to receive a lower grade on an assignment, a test, or final grade in a class.
I remember many times that procrastinating caused me to receive lower grades on tests. I always plan to study earlier before the exams but
at the end I only study a night before the examination day which is not effective. I can remember what I studied for those times but the
understanding of the topics was not enough for me to answer the exams confidently and get higher grade.

3. How can procrastination with school-related assignments prevent you from completing your educational goals?
Procrastination prevents me from doing the best that I can in completing my educational goals. It can cause a lot of stress for the thought of
being unable to finish my tasks on time. It can also lower my self-confidence since I can’t make my best at different tasks because I don’t have
enough time to finish those tasks.

4. What changes do you need to make in order to improve your study habits?
I need to manage my time wisely. I will focus on the things that matter most and one of those things is to finish my studies. I will avoid
sleeping late at night and complete the 8 hours of sleep to refresh my mind and to study effectively. I will avoid procrastination and I will follow
my pacing guide because it can help me a lot to be productive every day.

5. What distractions contribute to procrastination in your life?

Having too much time on the internet or social media networks is the greatest distraction that contributes to procrastination in my life. It is
hard for me to avoid checking my social media accounts even when I am studying and that’s why I can’t focus on what I need to do more
importantly. I can also get distracted easily by my siblings especially when they wanted to spend some time with me like watching Netflix series,
playing outdoor games, and cooking snack foods.
