Coca Cola operates in the beverage industry. They produce, market, and distribute

beverages. Coca Cola connected product idea is to create a device that would allow people to

track their beverage consumption. This would allow individuals to be more mindful of their

beverage choices and limit their intake.

What is the connected product's value proposition?

The connected Coca-Cola product proposition is to provide a unique and engaging

experience that enhances social and mobile engagement. Through its app, Coca-Cola provides an

easy way for users to connect with friends and family, share recipes, find deals and join

community groups. The app also allows for on-the-go ordering and convenient tracking of

orders. The Coca-Cola app has been downloaded more than 100 million times and has been

praised for its engaging and user-friendly design (Buehler,2021).

Who are the end-users and why would they want this product?

Coca Cola's newest product is a Coca Cola Zero Sugar version. This product is meant for

people who are looking for a low-sugar alternative to regular Coke. Coca Cola Zero Sugar is said

to have a "natural sweetness" that is meant to replicate the taste of regular Coke. Coca Cola Zero

Sugar is being marketed to young adults and millennials who want to cut down on their sugar

intake. Coca Cola Zero Sugar is also being marketed to people who are looking for an alternative

What experience is the connected product going to create for them?

A competitive landscape is an analysis of how a business compares within the

competitive climate with its competitors. Coca cola success mantra on a global scale is: Refresh

the World. Make a Difference.

Operating as a “multi-local” business has been the historical strength of coca-cola copany

for a very long term which relies mostly on the direction, experience of local bolting partners.

Coca cola hires the local people who understand the local market and give local ideas to

make its product reach the vast majority. Thus, this global strategy of coca-cola allows its

business in more than 200 countries to act according to local laws, local culture, and local needs

and so on.

Coca-cola has made itself a part of people’s daily meal. It offered its products at a price

that anyone can afford and it has made itself available in each and every part of the world. The

global success of Coca-Cola is the direct result of people drinking it one bottle at the time in their

own/local gatherings, functions. 

Despite of huge competition, Coca-Cola manages to retain its number one position in the

market. We can say that in the beverage sector there is an oligopoly as there are only few big

leaders like Coca-Cola, Pepsi and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.

Coca cola major marketing tool is advertisement. Coca-cola uses distinctive eye catching

advertisements to get noticed so they stay in people’s minds for a long time and makes them

know about their products. Coca-cola has also diversified its range by introducing similar

products like coca cola zero sugar with lemon, candies, ice creams keeping in mind the

requirements of customers of all age, from kids to old people, which has helped it for further

gain competitive advantages over other market players.

Coca-cola has thoroughly researched its competitors’ strategies and retained its position

globally.

How Coca cola change the competitive landscape?

Coca cola has offered wide range of products to target all the people. It has introduced

zero sugar coca cola. It will target the people who want to curb their sugar intake. Diabetic

people can also consume it once in a while. It has also introduced Coca cola with coffee. The

hybrid innovation has given consumers a refreshing reset to their daily routines with a pioneering

proposition that “sips like a Coke and finishes like a coffee.” 

Coca cola keep innovating new products and it has also introduced robotic fleet to deliver

the products at the doorstep of consumers.

Coca cola has invested in packaging also. The packaging of coca cola’s various products

is so colorful that it attracts all age of people from young kids to old age people.

Coca cola has left no stone untouched to maintain its position and outthrow its

competitors from the market.
