Name of the Project: Sheet Metal Box

Objective:

Materials to be used
1. Sheet metal (of your choice thickness may it be GI/Stainless)

2. Rivet
3. Corners (optional)
4. Hinge

5. Latch mechanism

Tools needed
1. Drawing tools
2. Sheers
3. C clamp
4. Screw driver
5. Riveter

Procedure:
1. Gather all materials needed
2. Cut a sheet metal measuring 1’ 2 ½” x 10 ¾”
3. Transfer all measurements from the drawing plan for the tool box base.
4. Using the sheer cut unnecessary part of the sheet metal.
5. Fold on the broken line to 90˚.
6. Cut 2 pieces of sheet metal measuring 5” x 4” for the left and right end of the box
7. Transfer measurements from the plan for the left and right end
8. Using the sheer cut unnecessary part of the sheet metal.
9. Join it with the tool box base with a rivet
10. Attached corners using rivet.
11. Cut a 14 ½ “ x 6 ½” sheet metal for the cover. Fold on the broken line angle
check from the base.
12. Transfer measurements from the plan for the tool box cover
13. Using the sheer cut unnecessary part of the sheet metal.
14. Connect base and the cover with a hinge using rivet.
15. Have the handle attached on the top and lastly install latching mechanism.
