Halal Research Council Global Virtual Internship Program

Introduction:
Halal Research Council is an organization working globally on Halal certifications in order to cater the
needs of food and nutrition agencies and side by side non-food agencies especially in the FMCG sectors.
HRC certifies the products under the reverent coordination of recognized Shariah Supervisory Board,
Highly qualified Food Technologists, Chemical Engineers and R&D professionals in respect of eligibility
for Certification through research based methodology scrutinizing the sources of ingredients, examining
the entire supply chain, chemical examination and analyzing Shariah prospects of ingredients used in the
products.
As the awareness of Food and Nutrition is rising in the masses so ultimately there is a developing need of
such certifications. Halal Research Council is honored to serve Halal foods and non-food market all over
the world. The ingredients used in preparation of the products are usually mentioned clearly on the
wrappers/packaging but often their sources are not mentioned with them. As it is legally required and
being the first right of the customers, they should be aware of the items and materials used in the process.
Our Internship Program:
With the rise of COVID-19 pandemic, societies and economies around the globe have been affected for the
worse. Inadvertently, this will permanently reshape the world as it continues to unfold. While the fallout
from the crisis is both amplifying familiar risks and creating new ones, change at this scale also creates new
openings for managing systemic challenges, Halal Research Council introduced virtual internship program
for the students back in 2020 keeping in mind the innumerable students and professionals who were unable
to find plausible solutions to their work experience and internship problems.
Today, candidates are undertaking this opportunity globally. Interns will secure the opportunity to learn
latest trends and opportunities in Halal industry. HRC launched this program when students were unable to
join the internships for the fulfillment of their degree programs during COVID-19 situation. The internship
program consists of two months duration. This internship program will contribute to enhance the practical
knowledge of the participants through learning from professionals, learning, Trainings, and Webinars.
Furthermore, interns may interact with each other to avail the opportunities from the Halal industry globally
as well.
Activities and Deliverables:
HRC welcomes Virtual Interns where they will have a chance to develop their understanding in the Halal
industry. This will not only enhance their knowledge base and expertise but also provide the chance to
secure their position in the market. During the internship program the candidates will perform several duties
including academic/research and general article writing, development of industry linkages, Presentations
on assigned topics or topics of interest, data collection & communication, arranging free seminars in
educational institutes, forums, associations, religious organizations, establishing strategic partnership
linkages, promotion of Distance Learning Program (DLPs) and HRC Services and visits to the industry.
This program will not only strengthen the students’ knowledge but will also contribute for Islamic finance
industry all over the world for sustainable economic growth.
Eligibility Criteria:
Undergraduates and Graduates from Food Science, Social Science, Veterinary Science, Biology, botany,
and related field can join.
